Ingredients:
4-6 apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon flavor concentrate
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped apples, water, and sugar. Stir well to mix.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, and cover the saucepan with a lid.
Let the apples simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until they are soft and easily mashed.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the apples to cool for a few minutes.
Using a potato masher or a fork, mash the apples to your desired consistency. If you prefer a smoother sauce, you can also use an immersion blender or a regular blender.
Add the cinnamon flavor concentrate to the mashed apples and mix well.
Taste the apple sauce and adjust the sweetness or cinnamon flavor as needed. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add more sugar, and if you want a stronger cinnamon flavor, add more cinnamon flavor concentrate.
Allow the apple sauce to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Enjoy your homemade apple sauce with cinnamon flavor concentrate as a snack, a side dish, or as a topping for your favorite desserts!
