Margarita Chicken Tacos

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp (15–20 drops) OOOFlavors Margarita Flavor Oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • Lime wedges, for serving

DIRECTIONS

  1. Marinate the chicken:

    • In a bowl, mix together Margarita Flavor Oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
    • Add the chicken strips and toss until well coated. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes while you prepare the grill.
  2. Grill the chicken:

    • Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
    • Grill the chicken strips for 5–6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
  3. Warm the tortillas:

    • Place the tortillas on the grill and warm them for 20–30 seconds per side until pliable and lightly toasted.
  4. Assemble the tacos:

    • Layer each tortilla with grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced avocado.
  5. Serve and enjoy:

    • Garnish with lime wedges for a zesty finish. Serve immediately and enjoy with a refreshing margarita!

Pro Tip:

For an extra kick, drizzle your tacos with a lime crema (mix sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of chili powder) or sprinkle on some crumbled queso fresco.
