INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ cups water
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 15–20 drops OOOFlavors Passion Fruit Flavor Concentrate
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make the syrup:

    • In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
    • Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Add flavoring:

    • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the passion fruit flavor concentrate and lime juice.
  3. Cool the mixture:

    • Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Then, pour it into a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Chill the base:

    • Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Churn the sorbet:

    • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  6. Freeze and firm up:

    • Once churned, transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container. Freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Serve and enjoy:

    • Scoop the sorbet into chilled bowls for a refreshing tropical dessert.
